    Calyx Wellness: New 2019 Branding

A recently distributed wholesale catalog for Calyx Wellness CBD products has graced my inbox. Contents include stunning re-brand and loads of new products!

Calyx Wellness is a Canadian CBD company with lab certified CBD products. They manufacture a variety of CBD tinctures, lotions, capsules and pet products. The Calyx brand is phenomenal and I’m very pleased to bring you their entire 2020 catalog at the best prices on the web.

Calyx Wellness has done a complete overhaul of their product packaging and branding. Their previous packaging was already superb, but in order to stand out in the competitive CBD business, each brand must carve out a specific niche in which to cater. In this case, Calyx Wellness has opted for soft tones, living elements, serif fonts, and comfort imagery; perfect for the sometimes confusing CBD industry. This is subset of design leverages the buying power of women in cosmetic markets, while simultaneously capturing the premium customers who focus on quality. They’re doing a great job, now please allow me to break down the new look.

    CBD Oil Tincture Heal+ 2,000mg

Straight away you’ll notice the newly minted box. There are some pretty big changes here:

    • Box materials have changed from a glossy thin cardboard to a thick textured minimally processed pulp complete with visible fibers.
    • Foiling is still present for the logo on the top of the box.
    • New labeling features both English and French for Quebec markets.
    • More detailed and legible ingredients on the back.
    • We finally have a bar-code and SKU for all their products (found on the bottom).
    • Cool little details include printed imagery on the inside of the box and a note from the founder on the inside of the top flap.

There are some minor changing to the labeling attached to all products.

    • All products still come in dark amber glass (important to keep tinctures out of direct light), with a safety seal.
    • Previous label was clear with white text. While stunning in mockups, often looked a bit wonky because of air bubbles or imperfections in application.
    • The new label material follows the same design ethos as the box, a thick minimally processed textured paper, very legible.
    • All product details also bilingual both English and French.

So the new look is absolutely incredible and I’m very proud of the good people of Calyx Wellness for continually setting new standards in the Canadian CBD market. That being said, I’ve also received the latest lab tests from an independent source. I’m happy to report that all Calyx Wellness sources their CBD from mature organic hemp stalks grown right here in Canada. The lab report shows that the crystalline added is 99.9% pure CBD with less than 0.01% THC. This is important. Despite popular belief, many Canadians are not interested in getting high while trying to treat themselves. That being said, you can pass any drug test while using any of their products.

There are a boatload of new offerings from Calyx Wellness, mainly in the pet category but with some awesome new items being rumored (more on that later).

In the previous product catalog, Calyx Wellness had only 1 option for pets, Relief 250mg CBD unflavoured tincture made with cod liver oil. This particular tincture happens to be one of our best sellers, and the feedback has been amazing. The only negative feed back I got from customers was the low dosage.

There are now 2 new strengths and 2 new flavours for all the pet CBD oils. They’ve added the Nurture line at 500mg of CBD and the Max line at 1,000mg of CBD. Now there are 3 different strengths of tincture for all sizes of pets! But there’s more! There are 3 total flavours for each – unflavoured, bacon or chicken. There are now 9 total skews for Calyx Wellness pet CBD oils.

Here’s the best part for you, the perspective customer. Calyx Wellness CBD has reduced their pricing! That means you’re getting lab tested Canadian CBD products for a better price than ever before. Don’t hesitate to start your journey with CBD, if you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact us.

    Types of CBD Products

We recommend you do your own research before deciding which type & concentration to buy

    cbd oil tinctures

    Tinctures

Tinctures are taken by dropping a couple drops on your tongue. Tinctures are typically offer a lot stronger concentration of CBD than any other CBD products. Concentration can range from 100mg-1000mg.

Usage Advice: A tincture is known to be most effective by not swallowing the liquid right away. You want to ingest as much as you can sub-bilingually. Place the drops under your tongue and along the cheeks for as long as you can.

    hemp-concentrate-sample

    Concentrates

CBD concentrates typically contain the strongest dosage of CBD compared to any other CBD products. It can contain up to 10 times the average CBD products. Concentrates are also convenient in that it only takes a few seconds to consume. Overall, CBD concentrates seem to be most popular among customers who are extremely busy, yet seek high potency CBD.

    cbd-capsules

    Capsules

CBD capsules are a great way to add CBD to your diet as a daily supplement. It is much easier to take than tinctures. Capsules typically offer ~25mg of CBD.

Usage Advice: Capsules are great as it’s the easiest to take in your daily regimen. Just take recommending serving (or as needed) daily with water.

    Topicals

More brands have started to add CBD onto topicals, such as lotions, salve, and lip balms, for its skin benefits. CBD topicals are known to help with chronic pain, inflammation, acne, psoriasis, cancer treatment, anti-aging, and so many more.

For topical products, always look for keyword on the product labels that indicate that the product uses nano technology, encapsulation, or micellization of CBD. This shows that their solution can carry CBD through the dermal layers, rather than just staying on the skin.

Usage Advice: CBD infused topicals are recommended to be used as other similar body care products – use it when you deem necessary or when you have certain skin conditions.

    Sprays

CBD sprays are typically the weakest in concentration among the different type of CBD products. You spray one serving (or as needed) of the bottle into your mouth. Typical concentration of CBD sprays ranges from 1-3mg.

Usage Advice: Spray one serving of the bottle into your mouth. Serving size should be labeled on the bottle (typically 2-3 sprays). Use daily or as needed.

    Vape Juices

Based on reviews, smoking or vaporizing CBD vape oil seems to have less effects when compared to other methods of administering CBD, such as tinctures, capsules and sprays. On the flip side, others argue that smoking or vaporizing has less drawbacks than taking CBD orally, since ingesting CBD orally could result in inconsistent absorption and a delayed effect.

Usage Advice: In order to use CBD vape oil, you will need an e-cigarette, vape pen, or vaporizer. Add, heat and inhale the appropriate amount of vape oil to your choice of device.
